Raising my hand for
what I want to do

I want to try CAD.

I joined the company because I wanted to work for a manufacturer that was familiar to me and that made things that were easy to understand.
I was in charge of clerical work in the building materials design department, but when I asked to try CAD, I was given the green light to work on Auto CAD. They asked, "Do you want to try this?" And so I started with revisions.
The people around me were very supportive. Some encouraged me to learn CAD at a vocational training school, while my boss taught me directly. I had fun while learning the job. Although I'm in charge of clerical work, there's a big difference between knowing CAD and not knowing it. The company also subsidized the cost of acquiring qualifications, and I was fully supported in my learning efforts.

Things I know, but don't really know.

While my work in the design department was fulfilling, I reached a turning point in my professional life where I wanted to try out a new department. I applied for a position in human resources as I wanted a job that would allow me to help people. My request was granted, and I was put in charge of human resources.
While in the design department, I contacted human resources almost daily regarding payrolls and regular paperwork. But there's a big difference between knowing about it and actually doing it. I was struck by how many people worked behind the scenes to process the paperwork we turned in.
If we don't do our job in human resources, our employees won't get paid, and their daily lives will be directly affected. I intend to get the details right by picturing each employee's face in my mind while I work.

Raising my hand for project openings.

My experience with CAD and my transfer to HR were both the result of me raising my hand. My most recent project has been a website project. I was involved in creating the website that you are looking at right now.
It started with an open call for participants for a website redesign project, and I applied because I wanted to be a part of it. I'd been with the company for a long time, but there was still a lot I didn't know about it. I thought it would be a great opportunity to familiarize myself with the company again and try something new. The project involved different departments and workplaces, and we were able to share our opinions regardless of age or position, so there was a lot of input. Although I was working on the project while performing my regular duties, the people in my department supported me and were always asking me, "How are things going? How is the situation?"
Thanks to them, I am proud to say that we were able to create a website that we are satisfied with.
I would like to keep challenging myself with various things in the future.

Personal life
On weekends, I focus on housework and prep a week's worth of meals.
I've been into local Japanese beers ever since I tried one while on a vacation trip. I'm not able to travel much, but I'll check out stores to see if they have new types or order them online. I enjoy them with my husband as a reward to myself.

Message
I never thought I would be working for such a long time, but I'm still here thanks to the support of the people around me. You never know where you will meet someone. In any case, I hope you will take on various challenges and meet a lot of people.
